I am a teenager who just recently became a vegan after three years of being vegetarian. This blog will be devoted to the best recipes I have tried, discoveries I have made, tips on how to be green, information on the environment, and info on why being green and vegetarian/vegan is important. I will never be able to make you do anything, but I hope to enlighten you and show you how easy it is to help the earth.
To start, I strongly urge you to become vegetarian if not vegan. The meat industries are beyond cruel to animals. And, believe it or not, so are the dairy industries. I will never be too explicit in this blog because I want kids, teens, and adults of all ages, to be able to read this and understand what I am saying and not turn a blind eye because they can't handle the subject matter. I have forced myself to read some of the most disgusting things about the dairy and meat industry so I can be educated, and even more motivated to make a difference.
You may say that it is way too hard to become vegetarian, and I understand, but before you decide that, just try it. I did and I found that it wasn't hard at all. In fact, I convinced my mother and brother to become vegetarian, and although my dad is still a carnivorous creature, I made a difference. A vegetarian saves about (no one will ever really know) 100 animals per year. So my family alone saves 300 animals per year. In 25 years we will have saved 7500 animals. And remember - that's only three people.
I hope you will enjoy my blog and perhaps decide to follow it. Thank you and I will write again soon.
